Spirit Science 16, “The Shift of the Ages”

Here’s that new new Spirit Science that just dropped today. It’s about the buzzword and popular dinner table conversation of “2012.” As per usual, Spirit Science serves up the hot sauce information condensed and with some cool animations.  They also just reposted the following on-point and eloquent comment that one youtube viewer posted in response to the video:

‘we are already in every dimension. there is no shifting dimensions just shifting perspective.
all possible futures already exist. which one will YOU choose is the question.
life is a co creation. being present with your energy and what you truly feel like doing is the best thing you can do for yourself and the planet.
it is not our job to “fix” everything or “change” people it is our job to be ourselves in each moment doing what we truly feel.
this is how we attune the ego and higher self.’
– A top youtube commenter, and a very beautiful soul

One of the most frequently asked questions we get asked is “What do you think will happen with 2012?”. We thought the best way to shed light on the situation was simply to make a video about it! So without further ado, here is our 2012 video!

TC Southeast Summer Tour ’12: All Systems Go!

Tribal Council just got back from a blessed, expansive, and life-changing trip to the west coast where we were fortunate enough to be part of two of the most progressive, integrative gatherings in the world: Symbiosis 2012 and Lightning in a Bottle 2012.  Although we left our installation on the east coast (cross country transportation is tough!), we are absolutely thrilled to be setting up the Sanctuary at a variety of the east coast’s leading visionary gatherings and music festivals.  We’ve put so much time and intention into making this happen, and we’ve received many lessons on how to simply ask Spirit for what we want and allow things to unfold synchronistically.

It is especially exciting to see so many of our friends doing their part to step up and further the Southeast music scene towards a greater collective vision.  I want to give a heart-filled shout out to the pioneering movers and shakers in the east coast visionary movement including our friends:

Papadosio
SolPurpose
Rootwire Music Festival
Vision Lab Artist Development
REP
AURA Music and Arts Festival
Brotherly Love Productions
CLVR US
Gnarnia the Festival
DJ Bowie
Keegan Keel

These people are dedicating their lives and their events to a higher cause, that is the evolution of humankind and the shift in collective consciousness, through direct progression of the music and arts scene in the Southeast.  Many of these people are working double shifts at restaurants, spending long nights on the road, and losing money on events because they believe in something more important. They remember they are a part of something greater, and so are you! There is something extraordinary taking place right here and right meow, and these people are fueling it with their hearts, so keep an eye out for their events and support them! Tribal Council is excited to co:create with these entities this summer and in the future.  There is no limit to what we can accomplish when we pool our resources in alignment with a higher vision to aid in the awakening of the collective consciousness on this planet.

Helping our friends and dome gurus, the Mandala Dome crew, erect their mighty 80 ft Rudra, only to have a 70mph windstorm crush it like a tin can three hours later. Oh well, “Paga la tierra” right? Mother Earth and Father Sky reminding us of their power. Symbiosis Gathering 2012: Pyramid Eclipse. Nevada.

Tribal Council is always looking for help from passionate and creative individuals who are interested in the integrative visionary movement.  We are currently expanding our installation to include several small meditation teepees, LED lighting structures, and a sound healing meditation dome.  If you would like to help in the design and construction of such projects, or if you’d simply like to donate materials, time, or financial resources, please email us at tribalcouncil11@gmail.com.  We are also looking for graphic designers and web developers to help with various small projects as well.  Remember, none of us make money doing this, so more help from the collective allows the vision to blossom more effortlessly and magnificently!

Here is Tribal Council’s schedule of gatherings for the coming months, so come find us and get involved. What do you want to see at these gatherings? Do you have an art installation idea? Do you have a skill or trade you’d like to share with the community? Do you have knowledge on a subject that you want to share in the form of a workshop in our dome? We are waiting for you to contact us and make it a reality. Harness the magic of this moment. Take action right now to create what you want.  You are the vision and you hold a vast universe of potentiality within. It’s time to let it shine.

As Always, in All Ways, Gratitude and Blessings.

Louie Schwartzberg, “Gratitude,” TEDxSF

This is an incredibly moving TED Talk by award-winning cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg.  It is about welcoming every day with gratitude and full appreciation. The narration in the short video that Schwartzberg shares in his TED Talk is so beautiful I took the time to type it up, both because I wanted to provide the words for you to save and  re-read and because I wanted them for my own collection. You’ll want to hit the fullscreen button for this one. Wow.

“You think this is just another day in your life.  It’s not just another day.  It’s the one day that is given to you, today.  It’s given to you.  It’s a gift.  It’s the only gift that you have right now, and the only appropriate response is gratefulness.  If you do nothing else but to cultivate that response to the great gift that this unique day is, if you learn to respond as if it were the first day in your life and the very last day, then you will have spent this day very well.  Begin by opening your eyes and be surprised that you have eyes you can open; that incredible array of colors that is constantly offered to us for pure enjoyment.  Look at the sky.  We so rarely look at the sky. We so rarely note how different it is from moment to moment with clouds coming and going.  We just think of the weather, and even with the weather we don’t think of all the many nuisances of the weather.  We just think of good weather and bad weather.  This day, right now, has unique weather, maybe a kind that will never exactly in that form come again.  The formation of clouds in the sky will never be the same as it is right now.  Open your eyes. Look at that.

Look at the faces of people whom you meet.  Each one has an incredible story behind their face; a story that you could never fully fathom; not only their own story but the story of their ancestors. They all go back so far.  And in this present moment, on this day, all the people you meet, all that life of generations from so many places in the world, flows together and meets you here like a life-giving water if you only open your heart and drink.

Open your heart to the incredible gifts that civilization gives to us.  You flip a switch and there is electric light.  You turn a faucet and there is warm water and cold water and drinkable water.   It’s a gift in the world that millions and millions in the world will never experience.  So these are just a few of an enormous number of gifts to which we can open our hearts.  And so I wish you that you will open your heart to all these blessings and let them flow through you; that everyone whom you will meet on this day will be blessed by you, just by your eyes, by your smile, by your touch, just by your presence.  Let the gratefulness overflow into blessing all around you. And then it will really be a good day.”

Louie Schwartzberg is an award-winning cinematographer, director, and producer whose notable career spans more than three decades providing breathtaking imagery for feature films, television shows, documentaries and commercials.

This piece includes his short film on Gratitude and Happiness. Brother David Steindl-Rast’s spoken words, Gary Malkin’s musical compositions and Louie’s cinematography make this a stunningly beautiful piece, reminding us of the precious gift of life, and the beauty all around us.

As a visual artist, Louie has created some of the most iconic and memorable film moments of our time. He is an innovator in the world of time-lapse, nature, aerial and “slice-of-life” photography – the only cinematographer in the world who has literally been shooting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week continuously for more than 30 years.

Louie was recognized as one of the top 70 Cinematographers for the On Film Kodak Salute Series. He is a member of the Directors Guild of America and the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

Louie is credited by many with pioneering the contemporary stock footage industry by founding Energy Film Library, a global company with a network of 12 foreign offices, which was acquired by Getty Images in 1997. Motion picture clients of his cinematic artistry include Sex in the City, The Bourne Ultimatum, Die Hard 4, Syriana, Crash, Men in Black and classics such as American Beauty, Koyaanisqatsi and E.T. among others.

Louie went on to found BlackLight Films, a creative production company specializing in producing original theatrical feature, large format films, HD and TV programming.

In 2004, BlackLight Films completed production of the theatrical feature film, America’s Heart &Soul, distributed theatrically by Walt Disney Pictures. In 2006, BlackLight Films completed a series of HD shorts, Louie Films, for the launch of Buena Vista Home Entertainment’s Blu-Ray DVD releases. In 2007, the company produced a 1-hour special, Chasing the Light, which aired nationally on PBS.

Past projects include the 35mm film Seasons of the Vine for Disney’s California Adventure Theme Park and a 26-half hour series, America!, for The Hallmark Channel.

Louie has won two Clio Awards for Best Environmental Broadcast Spot, an Emmy nomination for Best Cinematography for the Discovery Channel Special, Oceans of Air, and the Heartland Film Festival’s Truly Moving Picture Award for Walt Disney Pictures’ feature film release America’s Heart & Soul.

Louie completed production on a feature length nature documentary, Wings of Life, to be theatrically released worldwide, under Walt Disney Pictures’ new production banner, Disneynature. The film was released in France (March 2011) under the title Pollen and won the Roscar Award for Best Cinematography at the 2011 Wild Talk Africa Film Festival.

Louie spoke at the TED 2011 conference in Long Beach, CA and has been a regular presenter at the annual Bioneers Conference in San Francisco. Currently, Louie is in production with National Geographic to produce Hidden Worlds, a 3D Imax film.

Desert Dwellers, Symbiosis 2012 Sunrise Set

Im so grateful Desert Dwellers posted their Symbiosis sunrise set on Soundcloud.  It was the last sunrise of the the gathering and I had to rest my body so I missed it.  Now I can crank it in my headphones and imagine I was there…the next best thing :)

Enjoy these tunes, they are some of my favorite I have ever heard! They were sweet enough to post a track list for the set on the Soundcloud page too.  Many of the tracks are remixes of their tracks that were just released on Downtemple Dub Remixed or are about to be released on Recalibrated vol 1 and vol 2. If you like this music, definitely check out the artists who remixed some of these DD tracks, including Kaminanda, Kalya Scintilla, Bird of Prey, Love and Light, and Adam Shaikh – they are some of the finest producers of this world/ethno-step/yoga beat movement.
